Description

Moldavite is a type of tektite, formed when a meteorite affects the Earth, melting terrestrial rock and rapidly cooling it into glass. Highly prized by collectors, Moldavite is unique for its origin and appearance, formed 15 million years ago. These green glass tektites, typically a few millimeters to cm in size, take on various shapes. Found in and around the Czech Republic. They originate from the Reis Crater in Germany.
